Paper Players Challenge #92

Hello blogger friends!  It's late again, but I wanted to be sure and post the cards I made this evening.  This one is for the Paper Players Challenge #92.  Believe it or not, there is no stamping (or distressing) done on the background.  I found some gorgeous DSP at Archivers last week when I was looking for doilies for another challenge.  This paper is from Simple Stories:  Generations, Always and Forever.  One side had the brown gingham and the other had the gorgeous doilies.  I added chocolate chip matting to a crumb cake base.  My scallops had a layer of lace, too.  I used the With All My Heart stamp set for the image and the sentiment and added a couple pearls.  It was fairly easy, but I struggled over what image and sentiment to use.  I'd never seen a doily design in browns, but I'm thinking it could even be used for a masculine card.

Thanks for stopping by!

  2. These "colors" are gorgeouse together Carol! At first, I thought the paper was the Medallion stamp but now I see it is stunning DSP! Love the pearl centers and the touch of crochet trim! Thank you for playing with my sketch at The Paper Players!

  3. Carol, what a gorgeous color combo. That little bit of lace ribbon sneaking through the bottom is such a soft and feminine touch and is perfect for your card. So glad you joined the Paper Players this week
