Hi again, blogger friends! I also finished my Merry Monday Challenge #17 this evening. I'm running kind of low on Christmas DSP in my stash, so I made a trip this afternoon to Stamping Day and Night, which is a wonderful stamping store here in Fort Wayne. One of my finds was this paper by Imaginisce called Cottage Christmas, Winter Woods. The trees are on one side and the brown background on the other. I used Garden Green as my base and matted the DSP on more garden green. My image and sentiment came from Deer Friends. I stamped the image in black ink and punched it out. Then I stamped and embossed in wild wasabi, added some iridescent ice embossing powder, and popped it up on dimensionals. It's different from my usual cards, but sometimes different can be good.
By the way, Stamping Day and Night is having a garage sale next week. Customers can bring in stamp sets and sell them for store credit. It's a good way to get rid of stamp sets I don't use and get some new ones in the process. Fun!
My husband and I are hoping to take a day trip to Holland, Michigan, tomorrow to see some tulips. I know the flowers have been early this year, but I am hoping there are a few left. I'll be sure to take some pictures. Thanks for stopping by!
What a cute card. Love the dinky little trees.

ReplyDeleteI think that paper is very cool Carol. A local store here is also having a garage sale, and I am thinking of taking some stuff to be sold. Either that or I need to have my own garage sale! LOL! Great card this week, so happy you play along!
