Good evening, blogger friends! I am still working on a set of cards using some of my left over spice cake DSP, so I decided to use the Freshly Made Sketches #28 challenge to create another card. I used some mellow moss textured card stock with my DSP. I stamped the image from Bliss in River Rock and stamped the sentiments from All year Wishes I in soft suede. The little flower is also stamped in soft suede with a vintage brad in the center. I popped the flowers up on dimensionals. And, there you have it! I think these cards could be masculine or feminine. Enjoy the rest of your Saturday: my hubby is at work, and I get to spend the evening stamping. Nice!

Paper Players Challenge #88
Good night/morning, blogger friends. I made this card for Paper Players Challenge #88. I used my color coach to pick out the not quite navy, pool party, and so saffron I used for this card. I inked up the Upsy Daisy stamp for my image and got the sentiment from Three Little Words. I'm trying to put together a set of cards using this retired designer paper. More cards to follow! Thanks for stopping by!

Friday Mashup challenge 51
Good morning, blogger friends! I finished my Friday Mash up card last night, and here it is! I think it qualifies for all 3 categories. It's a quilted card. I used scraps of Stampin Up DSP that I already had and now don't remember the names of the papers. The something I had forgotten about was the actually quilting part: I did it a few months ago when a friend had her baby, and set it aside when I decided to send the other quilt pattern I made. I think this one is perfect for a friend who just had a long awaited baby. Also, I don't think the sentiment had been ever inked up. So, there it is!
I also took some pictures of the flowers blooming outside right now. I LOVE tulips, and so I am loving the tulips in my yard. We had a freeze warning last night, so brought a few inside. The colors are gorgeous.
I don't know what those little purple flowers are. I have violets blooming also, which are my very favorite flower of all. Some people say they are weeds, but I love them.

Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge 1
Hello to all my blogger friends on this Monday evening. Joanna Munster has started a new challenge at Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge. Joanna makes the most beautiful cards, and she recently started designing her own stamps and flowers which are all beautiful. I stamped this card with the only Inspired by Stamping set I own, All Year Wishes I. It has such a lovely font, and the stamps are so easy to ink up. I'm looking forward to buying more of her stamps in the near future.
For this card, I used some My Mind's Eye designer papers. I then put my sentiment on some vanilla card stock, added some crumb cake ribbon, and my flowers. They were vanilla, but I added some rose red ink and some pearls. They look darker in person, and I'm happy with how they turned out. I'm looking forward to joining more challenges on Joanna's wonderful blog.
Thanks for stopping by!
Merry Monday Challenge #13

FMS 27
Happy Sunday afternoon, blogger friends. Today I'm playing along with Freshly Made Sketches #27. I decided to do another birthday card. I punched circles in a piece of Just Add Cake DSP and stamped in images from Fox and Friends on white cardstock which I attached underneath the DSP. My sentiment came from Happiest Birthday Wishes. I used Bermuda Bay as card base. I think this card would be good for a child, don't you?

PPA 131 and Paper Players Challenge 87
Hello again, blogger friends, on this beautiful spring day. We actually have temps in the 80's today here in Fort Wayne. Hard to believe, huh?
I combined the two challenges into one to create this card. I got the layout from the PPA challenge and button challenge from Paper Players. I usually don't use buttons, so that was a little more difficult for me, but I think this Hello Blossoms set lends itself to the little flower buttons. I used melon mambo as the basis for my color and some beautiful designer paper from My Mind's Eye, Lost and Found Two. I did two different versions of the card just by reversing the DSP. Don't know which one I like better, but I know I love the colors on both. My sentiment if from Inspired by Stamping, All Year Wishes I.
By the way, I noticed that the card next to mine on the Paper Players had the same idea to use this set. It is nice to see the different ways it can be used. Thanks for stopping by: hope you got some time to enjoy this gorgeous day!
Merry Monday Challenge #12
Hello again, blogger friends! I'm back with my card for the Merry Monday Challenge. I was so excited to find out that I had won the Merry Monday Challenge last week. It was my first challenge win, and I'm still thrilled! This week's sketch lended itself to my favorite clean and simple style so that's what I did. I once again dug into my DSP stash which I layered on some soft suede card stock. I embossed the white strip and added some frost white shimmer paint. I finished it off with some red ribbon. My sentiment is from Short and Sweet Greetings. Easy, huh? It's such a good feeling to be doing these cards ahead of time. Love this challenge!
The Friday Mashup challenge #50
Good afternoon, bloggers! I still have spring on my mind on this first day of spring so I decided to use my tulips from Never Ending Joy on this sketch from the Friday Mashup challenge. I knew I wanted to stamp the tulips in Calypso coral so I got out my color coach to see what colors matched. I then used some daffodil delight and Baja breeze cardstock with some Little Yellow Bicycle DSP in shades of flour sack blue and kitchen medley. I finished the card with the sentiment from Three Little Words. It's difficult to see my bow but there is one hiding in the DSP. This is my first time at Friday Mashup, and it was fun!

FFM 26 and PPC 86
Hello blogger friends! It is really late, and I probably should be sleeping, but since I'm still awake and don't want to miss the paper player's deadline, I decided to post my card tonight. Once again I combined the Freshly Made and Paper Players Challenge and here is what I came up with it. I pulled out my SU Never Ending Joy set, which I love but haven't used in forever. I stamped the leaves and stems in pear pizzazz and the blooms and bow in wisteria wonder. My card base is crumb cake with pool party embossed in the background with some domestic goddess DSP. The sentiment is from All year Wishes by Inspired by Stamping. I wasn't sure about these colors, but once the card came together, I do like the combination.
We've had some beautiful weather here in Fort Wayne: I actually picked my first daffodil this morning! Could winter really be over? Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Monday Challenge #11
Good afternoon, blogger friends. I had some time this afternoon so I decided to work on the Merry Monday challenge. I have been wanting to use some of my snowflake stamps for awhile now, and they seemed to work perfectly with this sketch. I got out some retired Stampin Up DSP and Baja Breeze cardstock. I did some embossing with two different embossing folders and some Iridescent Ice embossing powder on the word Joy. The snowflake in the middle came from Patterned Pines, the one on the side from Snow Flurries, and Joy from The Snowflake Spot. I added some rhinestone bling to the snowflakes. I like it!
By the way, my sub job Friday went just fine. It felt good to be back in the classroom again, and the 4th graders were well behaved. It was fun! Here's hoping its the first of many sub jobs. . .or that maybe there will be a teaching job in my future.
Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Players Challenge 85 and Freshly Made Sketch 25
and
Hello again, blogger friends. I decided to combine the two challenges into one today. I used some old cool caribbean card stock and some new My Mind's Eye DSP. By the time I finished, it was soft and pretty and my light in the craft room was almost gone. I am going to have to work on my camera settings, but I'm out of time and want to meet the paper players challenge deadline. Hopefully I'll be able to find a better place to take the pictures next week.
Good news from me: I finally got a call to sub! I quit my teaching job of 12 plus years when I got married in Oct. 2010. We moved from Illinois to Indiana last Easter, so it's been awhile since I've been in the classroom. Tomorrow I'll be in 4th grade. I'm a little nervous about it, but I think it will be good to be working again. Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Monday Challenge #10
Hello blogger friends! I pulled out an old set for the challenge this week, A Child is Born. Actually, this was the first set I bought when I went to my first Stampin Up class! Today, I embossed the image and mounted it on some Not Quite Navy. The DSP is from Bo Bunny. I had some trouble with my lighting for the picture: it looks darker in person. Thanks for stopping by: I'm four cards closer to Christmas!

Freshly Made Sketches #24
Hello, blogger friends! This is my first post in March, and I am thinking more and more about spring. I noticed the daffodils are coming up in the flower bed yesterday: yes! I don't think we're quite done with winter here, but I have hope that spring is coming. So, there is more pink and flowers on my card today.
My husband had a job interview at the Mall here in town on Wednesday. I went along and did some browsing and shopping at Archiver's while he interviewed. I found some lovely paper there by My Mind's Eye. This one is called Blush "Sweet" Bouquet from the Lost and Found Two collection. I love it! I used some pink pirouette and rose red cardstock with it, plus some rose red ribbon and ink. My sentiment comes from the Bring on the Cake set. I like how it turned out!
Oh, he got the job!
