He's here!

I am happy to announce the arrival of Isaac James Koldeway!!!  Isaac was born yesterday, June 20th, at 3:09 p.m.  He was 20 inches long and weighed in at 10 pounds 3 ounces.  We all suspected he would be a big baby, but no one thought he would be over 10 pounds!

This is Isaac, just minutes old.

At the hospital in the evening.  Don't you just want to kiss those cheeks?

Mom and Dad look pretty exhausted, but Big Brother Caleb is ready to play!

Although I am missing my hubby and my stamping room, I'm enjoying some much needed Grandma time here in Mississippi.  We're all so glad Isaac is here!  Thanks for stopping by!

The Friday Mashup! #62

Hello again!  I had a little bit of time before hubby gets home and decided to go for the Friday Mashup sketch #62.

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge :
  1. Make a project using " the Sketch ".
  2. Or Make a project featuring " Birds ".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a " project using the Sketch featuring Birds ".
I think I managed to mash it up this week by following the sketch and featuring a bird, which was actually printed on the DSP I used, My Mind's Eye, Lost and Found Two, Blush "Favorite" Party Paper.  I have a crumb cake base and matted the DSP on melon mambo.  My sentiment is from Petite Pairs.

It's quick and easy this week, but I wanted to be sure and do Lisa's sketch before my trip to Mississippi.  Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Monday #23

Good evening, blogger friends!  I finished Merry Monday Sketch #23 today.  I've had it semi-finished for several days, but couldn't seem to get back to it to finish it up.  My hubby is working today, so I cleaned house and had some time to spend in my stamping room.  Yes!

For this card, I used always artichoke as my base.  For the rest of the card, I used Echo Park's Merry Border Strip.  The red with white dots are on the back of the DSP.  Each card I made was different this week because the other side of the paper has a variety of designs.  Cool!  I used a border punch and some ribbon in the middle of the card.  I used three different punches for my greeting focal point.

This may be the last Christmas card I do until after the grandson makes his appearance.  I'm leaving for Mississippi on Monday.  I'm taking my laptop, and I do have My Digital Studio on it, so maybe, just maybe, I will try making a digital card.  We'll see!

Thanks for stopping by!  I love reading your comments.

IBSIC #11 and Mojo Monday #244

Good afternoon, blogger friends and a happy Monday to everyone.  Today I thought the Mojo Monday Sketch 244 would go perfectly with the Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #11.  I started with a vanilla card stock base and added some gorgeous My Mind's Eye, Market Street "Lovely" Shabby Chic paper.  I absolutely love this glittery paper!  I matted the two layers with some SU blushing bride and added crochet trim to each section, including the bow.  My sentiment came from IBS's All Year Wishes 1 and so did the little pink rose.  I added a little blushing bride ink to the white flower which I got at Michael's.

Leaving in one week for Mississippi so don't know if I'll get in another challenge or not.  Looking forward to my newest grandson's arrival! If I don't make next week's challenge, I will start again when I get back home in a few weeks.  Thanks for stopping by:  I love reading your comments.

Merry Monday #22

Good afternoon, blogger friends.  It's a beautiful, cool day here in Fort Wayne.  It's nice to give the air conditioner a rest!

My card today is for Merry Monday #22 sketch.  Once again, I liked this sketch so much that I did 5 of this card.   I used a cherry cobbler card stock base and used an embossing folder for the background.  My DSP is Snowy Jo: Snow Soiree by Imaginisce.  I love the fancy snowflakes with just a touch of glitter.  I embossed my main image with the Northern Flurry folder and sponged the image with some more cherry cobbler.  I popped it up on a large scallop circle with some dimensionals and added some bling with some rhinestones.  The sentiment comes from SU Petite Pairs which always seems to be perfect in small spaces.

I know I'll be taking a break from card making soon as I go to visit/help my daughter with baby number 2.  She has a doctor appointment on Wednesday so I'll be able to figure out then if I need to travel sooner than the 12th.  I'm looking forward to the arrival of this little one!
